Zachary, Trey, Rachel, Jesse, and Lauren - Maui, April 2010

After much consideration, the big news is that we moved.  Only about 15 miles away from our previous house, but the kids had to switch school districts.  Main reason for the move was to reduce the transit time required to allow Lauren and Jesse to continue their horse activities (was 30 minutes each way several times per week).  With a few months of the new school under their belts, everyone seems to be adjusting.

Lauren (15) is now in 10th grade, and has her driving learners' permit.   Jesse (14) is in 9th grade and continues to improve her Cello skills. Both Lauren and Jesse competed on the Equestrian Team for their new school, and the team finished 3rd in the state.   Trey (8) is in 3rd grade, and remains the social butterfly, even at his new school.  Zach (7) is in 1st grade.  Zach was always on pace scholastically, but seems to be fitting in much better socially this year.  We are considering having him advanced to 2nd grade so he doesn't become bored with school.  Both Trey and Zach played baseball over the summer and soccer in the fall.  Rachel (5) is in kindergarten, and really enjoys finally being able to have some friends her own age.    Over the summer she earned a 1st place ribbon in her first horse show.

We are optimistic that the economy has turned the corner and that things at GM are looking up.  Nicole continues to manage and grow her business.
